Children's Heart Research Guild Planning "Non Event" Fundraiser

As a new research guild, we are just getting plans underway for various fundraising events.  Due to the economy, we are opting to do a "non-event" fundraiser as our first effort, which will allow us through our network of family and friends to reach even more people than could easily attend an event due to geographic limitations, the cost of attending an event, and time or date conflicts. We are optimistic that this approach will touch many lives, and in turn, bring in financial support to help find the treatments that will improve outcomes for our heart kids.  Our goal is to raise $100,000 by July 1, 2009.

We are producing a video about our kids and the hope that CRI research offers them. The video will be posted on this website in the near future, so please e-mail us if you would like to receive a notification when the video is available for download.  Also we will have DVDs available for small group events to raise money through the guild.  Please e-mail us if you would like a copy of the DVD.   And THANK YOU for all the generous financial and moral support we have received so far.

The Keanon Dawson 1 year post surgery celebration/fundraiser

On March 21, 2009, the Dawson family hosted a fundraiser at the Bonney Lake Senior Center tot celebrate the 1 year anniversary since their son, Keanon's, successful open-heart surgery.  The celebration was a big success with many more friends and family attending than had RSVP'd- about 100!  Between individual donations and the raffle, they raised over $6000 with more expected from corporate matching funds.  A BIG THANK YOU to the Dawsons from the Guild and Children's Research Institute for supporting kids' heart research!
